My name is Lynne Trenery and I am an Oxfordshire based wedding celebrant, offering personalised ceremonies for couples who want their wedding day to reflect the way they feel about one another.
I am also a trained couples’ counsellor/therapist who believes in relationships and the ways in which they make our lives more stable and joyful.
As a former journalist and PR consultant I love writing and sharing stories.

I live in Oxford and am happy to travel within a reasonable distance to officiate at your wedding day.
Would you Like Couples’ Counselling Before Your Ceremony?
As a BACP and Relate qualified couples’ counsellor I have vast experience in guiding couples around what to expect from a healthy relationship, how to manage conflict better, have their needs met, how to listen to one another and give each other emotional support.
For my celebrant clients, I am offering two therapy sessions - at a discounted rate – which will give you the safe space to explore how you want your relationship to mature and develop into the future.

How it works
- I offer a free chat which allows you to meet me and check me out as to whether I am the sort of celebrant you have in mind.
- I will send each of you a questionnaire to give you a framework to think around for your ideal ceremony
- When we are ready to chat, we will meet face to face/online to discuss ideas for your event, the tone and style of ceremony you want. This is your opportunity to share with me the words, stories and sentiments you want your guests to hear, what you want to say to one another, who you want to include in your ceremony.
- Discuss any symbolic rituals you want to include on the day
- I will send a draft script for your comments and feedback – we can then finalise the script
- I can guide and consult with you on any readings, music or poems you want to include in your ceremony.
- If you want help writing your wedding vows and commitments I can help.
- I will liaise with any other suppliers on the day to ensure your ceremony goes to plan.
- If you would like me to attend a wedding rehearsal I am happy to do this – there will be a small additional cost.
Total cost: £750 plus travel expenses.
One of the joys of modern celebrancy is weddings can now take place in almost any conceivable location. I am completely flexible as to where I work – whether you want a more traditional style of event, perhaps in a hotel, barn, marquee or prefer an outdoor event, a forest or a beach, perhaps at a location that has a particular association or resonance with you.
